I started out as a graphic designer, but soon found myself yearning for a more hands-on creative outlet. My journey into ceramics began as a hobby, a way to work with my hands and escape the computer screen. This passion quickly grew into a full-time endeavor, leading to the birth of Studio Timmerman. Every piece I craft in my Rotterdam studio is a blend of thoughtful design and meticulous craftsmanship, each one unique and touched by the care of my hands.
The Studio
Nestled within my cozy home studio in Rotterdam, I create each ceramic piece with dedication and care. Every item is individually sanded, glazed, and fired to perfection, reflecting the tranquil and inspiring environment of my studio. It’s here that the Serif Collection came to life, embodying simplicity and elegance. Please note that this is not a shop location; visits are by appointment only to ensure a personal and focused experience.
